However, piercing needles will also be located in the autoclave bags and will be disposed like cotton swabs, toothpicks, and rubber bands.
Also, any tool that makes contact with your skin must be replaced back on the dental bib after each use and the piercing needles must be disposed of in the medical sharps container. If you are still scared you can ask to see your piercers autoclave room. They will gladly show you, in the room you will find autoclave bags, which happen to be brown during sterilization. If you see a bag that has blue dots that indicates that the bag has not been through the autoclave and it is not ready to be used yet.
